We give all rights to the artist to use photos, birth measurements, footprint and handprint certificate or impressions of my child's hands and feet to create a portrait doll of my child, and rights to link to my child's web site if available.
I realize that the artist is Pro-Life and a Christian and that she does this to glorify God by showing the world the beauty of life from conception to full term.
I give the artist all rights to create a portrait doll for me and also to create multiple dolls of my child to sell for profit.
The artist also has all rights to use my child's birth story as inspiration to others to love their children as miraculous gifts form God.
I will submit a one page or less short story of my child's birth, with this contract.
I also realize that the materials and supplies needed to create this doll are expensive.
Resin currently cost $70.00 a gallon, and Silicone cost $100.00 a gallon, polymer clay to make the doll is $20.00 a pound. It takes a pound of each for each pound of baby. So a doll of a baby at 5 pounds will take approximately $900.00 plus shipping and handling and cost for clothes is extra.
This is the cost of the materials alone. Not payment for the artist time. The artist would need to make multiple copies to see a profit and be paid for her time.
Artist reserves the right to refuse to make the doll for any reason and at any time.
The main reasons for artist refusal are impatient parents or photos that are of poor quality.
Artist is not currently accepting requests for demise babies sculpts, especially for babies over 24 weeks gestation.
This process takes the artist approximately one year to complete, maybe more depending on the artist health.
